Crispy Chickpeas

These crispy chickpeas are the perfect snack—crunchy, salty, and totally addictive. They're quick to throw together and work just as well as a topping for salads or soups as they do for snacking straight off the tray.

Ingredients

1 (15-ounce) can chickpeas, drained and rinsed

1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil

1/4 teaspoon sea salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon onion powder

1/4 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 450°F. 

2. After rinsing the chickpeas, pat them completely dry with a clean kitchen towel. (This step is key—any moisture will keep them from getting crispy.)

3. Transfer the chickpeas to a mixing bowl and toss with the olive oil, sea salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika until evenly coated.

4. Spread the chickpeas out in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake for 20–25 minutes, tossing halfway through, until golden and crisp.

5. Let them cool slightly before serving—they’ll crisp up even more as they cool.
